Hunger Games- Brief Screening Report

Set in a future North America known as "Panem", the Capitol selects a boy and a girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each of the twelve outlying districts to compete in the annual "Hunger Games". The rules are very simple: the twenty-four players must kill each other and survive in the wilderness until only one wins by surviving. The games are broadcast through the Capital and the twelve districts to entertain and intimidate the population. In District 12, the teenager Katniss Everdeen is a great hunter and archer replaced her younger sister Primrose Everdeen who was selected as one of the representatives of their district. This is a very important scene that took place at the beginning of the movie because there has never been a volunteer in the Hunger Games. Katniss was paired with Peeta Mellark as her male counterpart to take place in the games to go against representatives who are stronger, bigger, and that trained for this their entire lives. Katniss and Peeta come from such a different background that is poorer compared to the other districts makes this a diverse film. Now will the odds be in their favor of winning the Hunger Games?

  1. I have seen this movie before and you did a good job describing it in a way both a person who has or hasn't seen it would have an understanding of what is going on.
