Movie

I have watched a lot of movies, and trying to figure out my favorite movie is kind of difficult but I keep going back to the movie Miracle. The movie Miracle is based on a true story of one of the greatest sports moments in sports history and captures a time and place where differences could be settled by the Olympic Games. This is the best hockey movie of all time which took place in 1980’s with Team USA. Herb Brooks was the head coach and put together a team of college kids from all over the USA. In the semifinal round USA played the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was unable to score again with USA in the lead, when Al Michaels a television broadcaster asks his famous question ‘Do you believe in miracles? Yes!’ This was the year that Team USA had won the gold medal at Madison Square Gardens. The movie Miracle provided entertaining scenes throughout, with the reusing of several of the scenes from the 1980 Olympic Games, showing what was actually going on during this time period. It also provides a realistic aspect of hockey as well. At the end of the movie there is a note talking about the actual Herb Brooks who took part in the production of the movie, but never got to see the finished product because he was killed in a car crash, “he never saw it, he lived it.” I absolutely love this movie because I can relate to the feelings of winning and losing a game of hockey because I grew up playing hockey. Also, know the rush of the game and what it feels like when you are out on the ice playing, which I miss so much because, I no longer play.

  1. A movie that is based on a true story is always interesting, also you have personal relations to the movie. Good movie choice
